Lusine Kharatyan
is an Armenian writer and scholar.
She is a researcher at the Department of Cultural Anthropology at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. She is also the Director of the Continuing Education Center at Yerevan State University. Since 2018, she has represented Armenia in the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages of the Council of Europe. Her research focuses on memory politics, educational policy, adult education, reconciliation and conflict resolution, and issues related to ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities. She is a member of the Armenian and American PEN, and she serves as the Chair of the Committee of Armenian PEN Writers.
