Teresa Barabash

Artist

She works in textiles, installation, audiovisual art, and site-specific art. She studied at the Department of Textile Art at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Teresa is a two-time recipient (2010, 2016) of the Gaude Polonia scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture. Since 2010, she has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Teresa is actively involved in international exhibitions, festivals, plein airs, residencies, and art projects both in Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Germany, France, the USA, Austria, Portugal, Slovakia).

Teresa has received multiple awards for her work, including two top honours — the Gold Medal and the Akapi Foundation Award at the 15th International Triennial of Tapestry in Lodz, Poland (2016) for her piece “Doshch inUA.”

In 2023, she was a laureate of the PAUZA Program (The French Hosting Program for Scientists and Artists in Exile) and worked at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris.

She is also a fellow of the Vidnova Fellowship Ukraine program by Insha Osvita (2023-2024).
