Solvita Denisa-Liepniece
Head of the Strategic Communication and Coordination Department at the State Chancellery of Latvia and Assistant Professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera
Dr. Solvita Denisa-Liepniece is a communications scholar specializing in strategic communication and cognitive resilience. She currently serves as the Head of the Strategic Communication and Coordination Department at the State Chancellery of Latvia and is an Assistant Professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera.
Her extensive international background includes roles at the United Nations Department of Global Communications (2022–2024) and the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on Increasing Resilience of the Media (2022–2023).
In 2021–2022, she served as a Visiting Scholar at NYU’s Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia. Prior to that, she was an Associate Research Scholar at Yale University’s MacMillan Center, supported by the Juris Padegs Research Fellowship within the Baltic Studies Program. She earned her Doctorate in Communication Sciences from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
