Solvita Denisa-Liepniece

Сommunications scholar

Dr. Solvita Denisa-Liepniece is a communications scholar specializing in strategic communication and cognitive resilience. She is an Assistant Professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera, Latvia. From 2022 to 2024, she worked at the United Nations Department of Global Communications, and from 2022 to 2023, she served as an elected member of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on Increasing Resilience of the Media. In 2021–2022, Dr. Denisa-Liepniece was a Visiting Scholar at NYU’s Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia. Previously, she was an Associate Research Scholar under the Juris Padegs Research Fellowship at the MacMillan Center’s Baltic Studies Program at Yale University. She holds a Doctorate in Communication Sciences from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
