Alicia Alamillos is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Desk at El Confidencial, one of Spain’s leading media outlets. With over ten years of experience in international journalism, she has reported on major global crises — including Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Serving as a special envoy, she has reported extensively from the ground, covering the military, social, and economic dimensions of the conflict, including reports from frontline areas. 

Previously, Alicia was a Middle East and North Africa correspondent based in Egypt, where she covered terrorism, radicalization, and migration. She also served as a Sub-Saharan Africa correspondent in Kenya for the Spanish news agency EFE, with a particular focus on the Horn of Africa.
