Olha Kyrylenko
Front-Line Correspondent Covering the War in Ukraine Since May 2022
Olha Kyrylenko has been a prominent front-line correspondent covering the war in Ukraine since May 2022. Her reporting bridges the experiences of military personnel and the civilians remaining in or fleeing combat zones, with a primary focus on the evolving front lines in the Donetsk region and the internal complexities of the Ukrainian military.
Olha has provided extensive in-depth coverage of the critical battles for Bakhmut and Pokrovsk. She is also credited with producing a unique, comprehensive report – widely considered the only one of its kind in the media – on the marine landing operations in Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region.
A two-time recipient of the “Honor of the Profession” award, she is driven by a belief in a liberated Donetsk and a steadfast conviction that the public must never be misled about the realities of war.
