Lyubov Smachylo is an international lawyer and the Head of the Analytics Department at the Media Initiative for Human Rights (MIHR), Ukraine. Her work is dedicated to documenting and analyzing systemic human rights violations, including torture, enforced disappearances, unlawful detention of civilians, and inadequate conditions of detention for prisoners of war by the Russian Federation. She oversees the preparation of analytical reports and coordinates the submission of victim testimonies to the UN and the International Criminal Court. 

Lyubov holds an LL.M. from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and is a 2025 participant in the ODIHR and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung program. Her professional background includes roles in international law firms and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, complemented by her contributions to humanitarian initiatives in France.
