Grigory Semenchuk
Poet, musician, and cultural manager. He is the author of several poetry collections, including Internal Jihad (2012), MORE Poems and Songs (2015), and According to the Original (2021), as well as the plays Elevator to Home and Mom, It Hurts. A prolific editor and translator, he recently translated Bohdan Zadura’s Empty Tribunes (2025) and has edited numerous anthologies, including Letters from Ukraine and collections featuring the voices of veterans and military personnel.
His work has been translated into over ten languages and featured at festivals across Europe and the UK. As a musician, he is a member of DRUMТИАТР, LANDSCHAFT, and BRAT, and has composed music for the Lesia Ukrainka Theater in Lviv.
Beyond his creative work, Grigory heads the Art Council “Dialogue,” directs the Month of Author’s Readings in Lviv, and serves as the program director for Lviv’s bid for European Capital of Culture 2030.
