Marian Kushnir is a war correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and the creator of the documentary Give Me Back My Name, which explores the search for missing soldiers and the identification of Ukraine’s fallen defenders. His dedicated reporting and bravery have earned him the Order of Merit (3rd class) and the Order for Courage (3rd class) – the latter recognized his heroic rescue of a four-year-old girl from a burning building in Bilohorodka in January 2026.
