Svitlana Zalizetska

Svitlana Zalizetska has been a journalist since 1993 and is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. She rose through the ranks from a local television correspondent to editor-in-chief and media project manager, with her current projects relocated from temporarily occupied Melitopol.

She serves as the head of the RIA Pivden project and editor-in-chief of TRC Melitopol. In 2024, she represented Ukraine at the Council of Europe, and in 2026, she spoke before the U.S. State Department and Congress.

Svitlana has received numerous professional awards, including grand prizes in national competitions and state honors. She is a recipient of the Order of Merit (III degree) and was awarded a presidential scholarship in 2025 for her contributions to the information sector.
