Angelina Kariakina
Co-Founder of the Public Interest Journalism Lab and Editor and Author of The Reckoning Project Films
Angelina Karyakina is a journalist, media manager, and co-founder of the Public Interest Journalism Lab. She is an editor and author for The Reckoning Project films and previously covered the Revolution of Dignity and Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine for Euronews.
A graduate of Sergiy Bukovsky’s directing workshop, she joined Hromadske in 2015 as a journalist and host, later serving as its editor-in-chief for three years. She is the author of the documentary series Tracing the Revolution about the Maidan events and the project A Stage Across Half the World regarding the Sentsov-Kolchenko case.
From 2020 to 2022, she led the creation of Suspilne’s multimedia news service as editor-in-chief and later as chief producer of news programming. After heading the News Department at Suspilne until 2023, she now serves as an advisor to the Chair of the Management Board and is a member of the News Committee of the European Broadcasting Union.
